Manufacturing Information

Chateau Roux do not use ethical statements as a see through sales technique; instead we expect you to take it as standard practice that we believe in and support fair and ethical trade.

In order to underline this Chateau Roux only use garment suppliers who are members of the FAIR WEAR FOUNDATION. The FWF exists solely to promote fair labour conditions in the garment trade world wide; this means that Chateau Roux's chosen factories have undersigned FWFs code of labour practices, and have committed themselves to constantly monitor working environments and make sure they adhere to rigorous standards.

Chateau Roux also expects its suppliers to subscribe to the OEKO-TEX 100 STANDARD. This certifies the safety of their textiles and dyestuffs. This is to take care of human health and adopt environmentally friendly production methods across all the garments that carry our brand.

And Chateau Roux like to know the provenance of their cotton - as such we specify our suppliers use traceable sources, predominantly in the Aegean region. This is to guarantee the avoidance of the much publicised use of child labour and unfair wages associated with less expensive garments.
